Mr Eazi, Making Life Easy.

StarBoy sensation Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade known as Mr Eazi has been on an incredible roller coaster journey in the Nigerian music industry. The cool and calm melody and catchy hooks in his music has kept his fans hooked, and they’ve been very supportive of his style in this predominantly fast-paced Nigerian music.

He took time out to thank his fans, especially those who actually support his music by purchasing his songs digitally or physically, which has also pushed him to help others in need recently.

StarBoy Worldwide couldn’t have made a better decision in taking this “Eazi” going guy under it wings, and highly anticipated concert slated for December 21st, 2016 is sure to blow minds.

It’s Pop Music, I Don’t Think This Is Afrobeat

Seun Anikulapo Kuti, Son of legendary Nigerian artist Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who birthed the Afrobeat music genre and movement was recently interviewed on Diddy’s Revolt TV.

He had a lot to say about the music industry especially the new Nigerian music music movement now tagged as “Afrobeats”. He also had a thing or two to say about the black lives matter movement.

In his words, “It’s pop music. I don’t think this is Afrobeat. It doesn’t stand for Afrobeat. It’s not Afrobeat in any way, shape, or form, in terms of composition, in terms of arrangement, in terms of message. It’s pop music. But they are afraid to compete with American Pop musicians”

Victoria Kimani Fired-up for Her Album Debut “Safari” on Dec. 4th

The California born Kenyan singer and actress is gearing up for her debut album titled “Safari”. “Safari” which means “Journey” in Swahili seems fitting, describing her relentless journey so far in her quite adventurous life from the States, Kenya, and the Nigerian music space.

She now moves with confidence and certainty in her career and the timing of her album release couldn’t be any better, especially now the Nigeria music ecosystem is being blessed with a surge of potential hit albums.

Slated for December 4th, 2016, Chocolate City has been very supportive of her act, and from the look of her track list, with features like: Emma Nyra, Phyno, label mate Ice Prince, Sarkodie, Jesse Jagz, South African Khuli Chana, fellow Kenyan King Kaka and more,  we’re are sure to get a variety of banger tracks. We hope your “Safari” soars high.
