Ghanian Singer, Shatta Wale Arrested By The Police For Assault

Ghanaian Dancehall King, Shatta Wale was arrested by Ghana Police Service for assaulting a police officer on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

There was viral video going around over the weekend of the controversial Artiste in a heated verbal brawl with a police officer, who had apparently stopped an unregistered Range Rover SUV which was said to be his.

The Range Rover SUV without a number plate belonged to Shatta Wale but was being driven by another person. The Artiste, upon arriving at the place after being called by the Ghanian Police Service, verbally assaulted the police officer in charge and drove off in another unregistered car.

This necessitated his arrest, which was called for by the DSP Buckman who confirmed to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

She said

“Shatta Wale was picked up by the police on Sunday and granted inquiry bail.

“It wasn’t just unregistered, it had no number plate at all, which goes against our laws.

“In an attempt for the policeman to ask questions, Shatta Wale assaulted the police officer and also exhibited insulting behavior. Because of that, he was arrested on Sunday and he’s been granted police inquiry bail to reappear at the police station this morning.”

Assault doesn’t consist only of physical battery, according to her, but insults also as well, especially to an officer of the law carrying out his official duties, she concluded.

However, the Artiste has come out to the public to defend his actions. In his statement with Peace FM’s entertainment review, he claimed he fought with the police as a reaction to the statement from the police saying he’s a rascal.

Why I Quit Music To Become A Pastor – Kas, ‘fimile’ Crooner

‘Fimile’ Crooner, Kas has come out to tell why he left the music scene without warning. The former producer and musician explained he met with Christ and converted to a Born again Christain. That is not all, as he mentioned he has opened his own church in London, UK, Praise God Ministry.

According to Vanguard, The singer turned pastor, described himself as a prostitute while explaining how he transited from making music to the altar.

He said:

“Yes, I’m receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit, real talk, it’s no joke. I don’t know when people will believe I’m saying the truth.

The thing is when you have been called people find it hard to believe. I’m an ashawo musician, I’m not an afro-beat artiste; I always say it that I’m an ashawo musician.

“When I was 7-years old I made a covenant with God that if He can make me a popular musician, in return I will serve Him. God did his part and I became a popular musician but in return, I was running.

“Six pastors at six different times told me that I’m supposed to be a pastor. After a while, my mom told me that if God really called me He would reveal Himself to me in a dream.

It was like a joke but God later revealed Himself to me and I saw everything from the beginning of the ministry to what it would end up being”.

Talking on if he would maintain his previous lifestyle: “There is a chapter in the Bible where Jesus went to Mathew, the tax collector’s house. And going to his house is like going to a strip club.

People criticized Jesus for going to a place like Mathew’s house because it was a place of sin. But Jesus told them he came to the world to die for sinners and not the saints, a reason went there.

“If Pastor Adeboye goes to a bar or a club today, I guarantee you that more than 20-people would follow him, wanting to give their lives to God.

As a pastor, preaching all the time in your church is not the real calling. A church is a group of people not the physical building.

“I dare Pastors Adeboye, Ashimolowo, Okotie, Oyakhilome, and others to go to bars or clubs and preach, the people will give their lives to Christ even more than when you just tell them to come to church and give tithes else you will die. It’s a lie, if you don’t pay your tithe you won’t die”.

Like other entertainers who took on the collar , Kas appears to have joined Eucharia Anunobi, Chris Okotie and Soul E in spreading the gospel.
