Nigerian artist, Phyno rose to fame in the music industry as an
Igbo indigenous rapper. However, his latest songs saw him make a switch to becoming a singer. On If To Say, he sang, Zamo Zamo Ft. Wande Coal was a combination of rapping and singing, Augment Ft. Olamide nko? he sang.
Phyno’s teeming fans are beginning to wonder if he is gradually giving up on rap music. However, in a recent interview with Hip TV, Phyno said, “…Yea, I blew up as a rapper, but before that, I was a producer for 8-9 years before I ever rapped. So, don’t call me a rapper, call me a musician, I know music…..”
